The Filipino Student Associatio
Throughout my five years of college, I was a part of a cultural organization called the Filipino Student Association (FSA). For three years, I was honored to serve as one of the officers known as the Webmaster. As the Webmaster, my responsibilities included maintaining our website, sending emails, making different kinds of merchandise (t-shirts, stickers, tote bags, etc.), creating newsletters, and social media content. I even made the decision to revamp the logo (as shown above) as well as the website.
Down below are the t-shirts I created for all three years of my officer term starting from my most recent design in 2022, down to my very first design in 2019!

During my third year of being the Webmaster, I wanted to take our merchandise to the next level! So, I introduced tote bags and new versions of our stickers that take inspiration from our 2021ās t-shirt, which all ended up being huge successes and paved a new way for what our merchandise could be!
Additionally, during my third year of being the Webmaster, I wanted to try to find new ways to engage with our members. Before, I sent out my newsletters through weekly emails, but after gathering a multitude of responses, I soon discovered that many of our members were not engaging with my emails as much due to the overwhelming emails they were already receiving from school and professors.
My solution to this problem was to switch entirely to social media platforms as a way to better inform our members. I wanted to use our social media platforms to our advantage since most of our members were more engaged with them as social media has become more of a lifestyle. Since making that conclusion, I decided to create and design my own newsletters to post on our Instagram stories. This made it easier for our members to stay updated with events and important announcements as most of them used social media, and this small change significantly increased member engagement!
By creating newsletters, it was another fun design outlet for me as a previous graphic designer and made it better for me to engage with our members on a different level. Iām happy to say that this is still a format the current executive board is still using to this day.
Down below are a few examples of the newsletters I created during my last year as an officer!
